Email your MP to help defend aid and secure future investments in the Global Fund
The government's recent announcement of its intention to u-turn on the manifesto commitment of maintaining UK Aid at 0.7% of Gross National Income and cutting it to 0.5% potentially puts all aid investments at risk. We therefore need to mobilise MPs to defend 0.7% to allow the UK continue to be a global development leader at this time of great uncertainty. In order to make the cut the government will have to pass a law in Parliament. You can use the form below to email your MP and ask them to to vote down any attempts to change the current legislation.
UK Aid is what allows us to invest in the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (Global Fund) which represents one of the most effective overseas aid investments in both the long- and short-term. The UK must not shirk on its aid commitment now at a time when organisations like the Global Fund urgently need support.
